Allied Engineering

Doug Chandler

Doug grew up in Bozeman at Montana State University where he stayed on for a Masters degree specializing in geotechnical engineering and water resources, thus avoiding any rigorous engineering subjects whilst managing three more years of skiing, hunting, and part time jobs. After a few years of engineering consulting in Montana, Doug entered the Doctoral program at the University of Washington

In a futile attempt to regain part of his youth, Doug and his young family moved back to Bozeman in 1991 to work for an established Montana consulting firm. After two years, Doug founded his own consulting firm, which later morphed into Allied Engineering Services, Inc.

Allied provides full service, multi-disciplined engineering and development design services, with sustainability and natural resource protection and enhancement held paramount. They have over 30 full-times staff, including 10 licensed professional engineers and surveyors of various specialties. They are headquartered in Bozeman, Montana, and walkthrough the northwest including Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, Washington and Oregon.

Greg Finck

After receiving a Forestry Degree from Peninsula College in Port Angeles, Washington in 1983, Greg started surveying in Montana and throughout the Western United States until settling in Bozeman in 1988.

In addition to managing the Ameya Preserve Engineering Project, Greg is the head of the Survey Department with Allied and currently holds a position on the Board of Directors. Greg specializes in boundary, legal surveys, and platting, and is extensively involved with local governmental review agencies, boards and commissions.

Greg, along with his wife Stacey, son and daughter live outside of Bozeman and spend their “free time” with the kids sports, skiing, hiking, fishing, and all the other outdoor activities Montana has to offer.
