Wade Dokken

Preserving critical wilderness and building defining human communities do not need to be in opposition. Integrating mankind’s greatest creative achievements, the arts and sciences, with our yearning for clean air, fresh water, and unencumbered vistas need not degrade the beauty we seek. Our human presence can measurably add to the health of the wilderness and the majestic fauna that are dependent on this land. Wade Dokken believes that the ever delicate balance between wildlife, humans, and economics can be bridged. This is the aspiration of Ameya Preserve.

Wade, founder of Ameya Preserve, spent his first career in financial services, building, creating, and innovating. The largest portion of this was as one of the founders of American Skandia, beginning as National Sales Manager and culminating as Chief Executive Officer of a company that became one of the largest sellers of variable annuities and mutual funds in the U.S. in 2000 under his leadership with $12 billion in sales that year.

Wade has been profiled in the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and is the author of “New Century, New Deal," an illuminating discussion of the challenges of our current Social Security plan in a world of changing demographics and growing investment sophistication.

Born on the 100th longitude west, and forever a son of the west, Wade is a life-long conservationist, planter of trees, and lover of nature. An aspiring blues saxophonist, student of books, photography, and all things wilderness. Historically active in The Nature Conservancy and Habitat for Humanity.

Wade and his college love, Susi have been married 22 years, and are the parents of three boys. Susi was a United Airlines pilot for 17 years, and paints as an avocation. Prior to Ameya Preserve and after finance, their family traveled the world for a year. The lessons of this experience have brought them to Bozeman, and all the great things Montana brings to their lives.

Stan Feagler

Stan is a partner and head of finance and operations for Ameya Preserve. He was most recently the Chief Financial Officer and a Board Director for Abercrombie & Kent, the premier luxury adventure travel company. During his 17 years with A&K, the company grew substantially in international scope, operating in multiple dynamic and diverse cultural environments. At A&K, he was responsible for all aspects of finance as well as information technology and executive compensation. At Ameya Preserve, his responsibilities include capital management, corporate structure, reporting and financial issues.

Stan began his career with Arthur Anderson in Dallas. He soon jumped to Continental Bank of Illinois (now Bank of America) where, after several relocations, he landed in Los Angeles as a Vice President financing leverage buyouts and technology companies.

Having spent the past many years enduring the joy of constant travel and jet lag, Stan and family jumped at the opportunity to load up the wagon and speed west. Growing up in the rocky mountains of New Mexico has given Stan a love for all things outdoors. Stan spends his spare time with wife and son trying to reach basic competency in skiing, hiking, and golfing.

Jaime Prieto

Jaime is a partner and head of marketing for Ameya Preserve where he is responsible for all of Ameya Preserve’s communications, strategic partnerships, and creative initiatives. The focus of his efforts has been the articulation of an environmentally responsible experience that marries enjoyment of the outdoors, personal enrichment, and preservation of wildlife and precious land.

Prior to Ameya Preserve, Jaime spent his 23-year career creating advertising and marketing campaigns for some of the world’s most venerable and successful brands, including American Express, Coca-Cola, Dove, Kraft Foods, and Motorola. He was most recently worldwide director of the Motorola account at Ogilvy & Mather where he oversaw the creation and implementation of that client’s “HelloMoto” integrated campaign in over 75 countries, highlighted by the successful launch of Razr cell phone.

After spending the last few years living all over the world, Jaime is now focused on putting down roots in Big Sky country, expanding his denim collection, making Ameya Preserve a unique and meaningful experience, and having some fun along the way. Jaime spends his free time with his wife and two highly demanding daughters. He’s a terrible golfer and a mediocre soccer player, but loves both just the same.
