Robert has more than twenty years experience in project marketing and sales, has overseen more than $4 billion in new projects, worked throughout the United States and overseas, and has held senior executive positions with major real estate organizations.
As an executive with Sotheby’s International Realty from 1980-84 he co-founded its Projects Marketing Division and represented the company throughout the United States and Europe. In 1984 he joined M.J. Raynes, Inc., which grew during his tenure to become New York’s largest full service real estate organization. As the firm’s Executive Vice President he was responsible for all Marketing and Sales and founded its New Construction Sales Division, growing its accounts ten-fold in two years. In 1990 he joined Princeville Resort in Hawaii as head of real estate, where he oversaw all master planning, development and marketing for the 11,000-acre resort development. From 1996 until he co-founded Synthesis he served as President of ResidenSea (USA), a European venture that successfully developed and marketed the world’s first residential ocean liner. Under his management ResidenSea concluded more than $160 million in sales prior to the commencement of construction of its first ship.
Matt has been a strategic marketing advisor for over $3 billion in transactions at major resort/residential projects throughout North America.
Since 1995, he served as an executive and partner at Robert Charles Lesser & Co., (RCLCo), the nation’s most prominent real estate advisory services firm. As its partner in charge of luxury resort developments, he provided strategic marketing expertise for many of the nation’s largest developers including AEW Capital Management, The Lyle Anderson Companies, The Bishop Estate, Crescent Real Estate Equities, DMB Properties, Donldsen, Lufkin & Jenrette, The Howard Hughes Corporation, Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fun, Transcontinental Properties, Walt Disney Imagineering and many others. Prior to joining RCLCo, Matt was Director of Sales for one of the world’s leading luxury retailers and a prominent custom housing contactor.
Matt is a full member of the Urban Land Institute and National Golf Foundation. He lives in Santa Barbara, California, with his wife and daughter.
Chris Webster has thirty years experience as a real estate brokerage owner, Sotheby’s International Realty affiliate, and entrepreneur. He founded Christopher Webster Real Estate in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1976 and became Sotheby’s exclusive affiliate for New Mexico in 1984 and Mexico in 1993. In 1998 Sotheby’s acquired his company as their first acquisition worldwide of an affiliate company. He is an active member of industry organizations including the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) where he is President of its New Mexico Council, the National Association of Realtors (NAR), The Realtors Association of New Mexico (RANM) and holds multiple professional designations.
After the sale of Christopher Webster Real Estate to Sotheby’s, Mr. Webster established Webster Enterprises, an umbrella organization of his professional interests in real estate, the arts, and professional consulting. He has subsequently become a partner in SYNTHESIS.
Chris Webster is a licensed real estate broker and has a B.A. from Duke University. He resides in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with his wife and children.
